This is an image based on the 'Goddess of the Bedchamber' who oversees all aspects of what goes on in the bedroom

In this image the woman, sitting on her bed, has offered flowers and burning joss sticks to hopefully find a life partner.

Her life is in Ch'ang Mu's hands.

This is an image based on the Goddess known as the 'Queen Mother of the West' who is the protector of the 'Herb of Immortality'.

This image depicts her and the skeleton of Qin Shi Huang Di, the first emperor of the Qin dynasty, who squandered the power she gave him and therefore died and was not allowed to obtain the 'Mandate of Heaven'.

Title: Zhih'nu and Niu Lang.

Medium: Giclée on Canvas.

Date: 2010

Size: Variable

Edition: 99

This is an image based on the love story between the Jade Emperor's daughter and a cow herder.

Because their love affair angered the Jade Emperor, he only allows them to meet once a year on the seventh day of the seventh month.

They are often depicted on a bridge of birds, but for a less literal interpretation, I chose to create a real bridge surrounded by birds.
