This is one of three images that I did based on humourous signs and mannequins. I took the reference photograph, while vacationing in Montreal, Canada and added the two signs, which were not part of the shop window display. I wanted to create a fictitious, yet plausible, environment.

The mannequins, however, have not been altered and really were displayed with no clothes. A sign on another window said that the shop was temporarily closed.

The text on the top sign reads:
Don’t stand
Outside and faint
Come in and
have a fit

The text on the bottom sign reads:
Out to lunch.
If not back by five,
out for dinner also.
