This is one of three images I did as part of a series, combining the kimono with humourous Japlish text that I appropriated.

The image is inspired by a photograph of my student, Naoko, to whom I taught English, while I was living in Japan.

The text is taken from a fashion advertisement and reads:

Trying new fashion
is your new lifestyle.
the tomorrow's life
comes vividly
from your sensibility.
