This is one of three images I did as part of a series, combining the kimono with humourous Japlish text that I appropriated.

The image is referenced from a photograph of my student, Remi, to whom I taught English, while I was living in Japan.

The text is taken from a card I found in a gift shop and reads:
heart is fun
the way you smile
they can't take
these dreams away
from me.
