Title: Ueno Park, Tokyo
Date: 1994
Medium: Giclée on Paper
Size: 38cm x 27cm
Edition: 99
This is the one of twelve images I created during my time in Tokyo.
Ueno Park is a large public park in Tokyo. The park grounds were originally part of the Kaneiji temple, which was originally created to protect the city from evil. This image was inspired by Shinobazu Pond, which despite its grandeur, still has areas that are an eyesore.
I have used a stippling method, of small dots, applied by a felt pen, to create the original drawing that is used for the giclée process.
