This is the one of twelve images I created during my travels through Japan.

The A-Bomb Dome is the skeletal ruins of the former Hiroshima Prefectural Industrial Promotion Hall. It is the building closest to the hypocenter of the nuclear bomb and has been left as it was after the bombing in memory of the casualties.

I found the juxtaposition of the ruined building and the pigeons going about their daily life somehow, at odds.

I have used a stippling method, of small dots, applied by a felt pen, to create the original drawing that is used for the giclée process.
