The Underworld is a mixture of Daoist, Buddhist and traditional folk legend. It's housed in an enormous mountain on the other side of the astral plane.

Unlike some other beliefs, everyone goes to Hell. The dead are taken to the cave of Yen Lo Wang the King of Hell, where they are registered.

After registration, they are taken to the Court of Qin Guang Wang for inspection in his Mirror of Retribution. Depending upon their deeds, they will either go to Paradise, Silver Paradise or Golden Paradise.

However, many people will have to be punished for their Earthly sins and remain in Feng Du where they are tortured. Eventually, all are reborn.
