In Asia, the Narcissus flycatcher is often known as the ‘jewel of the forest’. Its name is derived from the Narcissus flower, and not the mythological Greek hunter, who fell in love with his reflection.

The flower is known as the ‘fairy of the water’ and has become a symbol of the spring festival, signifying prosperity.

When The Narcissus flycatcher is coupled with bamoo, this match can signify longevity with wealth and honour.
