This image was based on my love of Converse tennis shoes. I got my first pair for my 12th birthday and I have kept a pair as part of my wardrobe, ever since.

The concept behind the image was that couples should live in harmony, rather than fight or be abusive to each other.

I moulded wet handmade paper onto a cardboard template that I created, and when the paper was dry, I added the laces.
