This was one of two etchings inspired by a photograph I took in the backyard of a site I was working on when I was a brickie's labourer in 1974.

The other image is called 'Middle Swan-Winter' and is the same image but done in winter colours

It was awarded the Associated Minerals Consolidated Ltd. Acquisitive Print Award. (Geraldton, WA) in 1987, as well as the Vic and Doris Bonomo Purchase Award for the International Prints II. (Connecticut, USA) in 1988.
